I am recently new to software development, specializing in Java, and I have a strong passion for programming since being exposed to development at my most recent position. I originally started in banking, working my way up to bank manager, then moved to the mortgage side, and finally IT. My IT experience includes project management and business analyst duties while working on a self-supported and self-documented service desk.
● As a project manager and business analyst, I implemented a file transfer server system upgrade for America Airlines AAdvantage rewards program. ● Wrote technical procedure documentation for a service desk handling data file transfers. ● Service desk support and trainer for a 24/7 self-managed team. ● Applications and systems file transfer support for multiple midrange servers, mainframe servers and various DXC software applications. ● Experience troubleshooting file transfer issues, unsecure connection attempts, security issues, firewall issues, authentication/access problems, severity escalation and change management.
● Processed mortgage applications, performed underwriting tasks and prepared closing documents for mortgage loans. ● Verified and documented income and asset information according to various mortgage underwriting (Conventional and FHA) processing, and regulatory guidelines. ● Maintained, processed and closed a large pipeline of loans.
● Responsibilities included managing a staff of 12 employees and producing various mortgage and consumer loans.
I enjoy spending most of the summer being outdoors at my seasonal campsite in Ohio. In the winter, I enjoy family time and learning more about technology. I have a natural curiosity for all things technology. You'll usually find me researching something related to IT, the web or software development.
